Make a QR code for a link, a piece of text, a Wi-Fi network, an email or a phone number. Download it as a PNG for screens and documents, or as an SVG for sharp printing at any size.

Your QR code is created in your browser. What you type is never uploaded, and the codes do not expire.

How to use the QR Code Generator

  1. Choose what the code is for and fill in the details.
  2. Adjust the error correction, size and colors if you like. The preview updates as you type.
  3. Scan the preview with your phone camera to check it works.
  4. Download the PNG or SVG file and use it on your flyer, menu, card or website.

Tips for QR codes that scan well

Keep strong contrast between the code and its background. A dark code on a light background is the most reliable, and inverted or low-contrast colors can fail on some scanners. Leave the quiet zone (the empty border) in place, because scanners use it to find the code.

Error correction lets a code still scan if part of it is damaged or covered, for example by a logo. Higher levels make the code denser, so medium is a good default. Short links produce simpler, easier-to-scan codes than long ones.

These are static QR codes: the information is stored in the code itself, so they never expire and nothing passes through our servers. The trade-off is that you cannot change the destination after printing, so double-check your link before you print in large quantities.

Frequently asked questions

Are the QR codes free to use commercially?

Yes. The codes you create are yours to use for personal or business purposes.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. They contain your data directly, so they work as long as the destination you linked to works.

What size should I print?

Print at least 2 cm (about 0.8 inch) wide for close-up scanning, and larger for posters. Use the SVG or the largest PNG for print.

Is the information I enter stored?

No. The code is created in your browser and nothing is uploaded or saved.
